Where the Wild Things Are

Max, a boy in a wolf suit, is sent to bed without supper after making mischief. In his room a forest grows, an ocean appears, and he sails to the land of the Wild Things, where he becomes their king and leads a rumpus. But Max grows lonely and sails home again, to find his supper waiting, still hot. Sendak's picture book is one of the most celebrated children's books ever published, a story about anger, imagination, and the security of being loved even after being wild.
